IQAC workshop on: “Work Life Balance”

The 4th workshop on Work Life Balance was organized by Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on Thursday, 07 March, 2019 at Faculty Lounge of NSU. The workshop was organized on the occasion of celebrating International Women’s Day 2019. The slogan for this year’s workshop was ‘Encourage, Engage, Empower’.

The workshop was attended by female faculty members of different departments. The workshop began with a welcome address by Dr. Nazmun Nahar, Director, IQAC, NSU. Ms. Narmin Tartila Banu, Senior Lecturer of Department of Marketing and International Business of NSU and who is actively associated with Google Women Group, Bangladesh introduced Google Women Group to the audiences and briefly discussed the activities of the organization. Dr. Munmun Jahan, a prominent psychiatrist of Bangladesh, stated the importance of mental health and wellness of a woman in our society. She also conducted a 10 minutes demo meditation session for the participants.

Ms. Misha Mahjabeen, a wellness enthusiast and advocate, talked about the significance of physical fitness and showed some yoga stretches to the participants to keep oneself fit and mindful. Among others, Dr. lamia Iftekhar, Associate Professor, Dr. Shohana Rahman Deeba, Assistant Professor and Ms. Tamanna Motahar, Lecturer from Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Ms. Arifa Rahman, Senior Officer of Dept. of Environmental Science and Management also participated in the deliberation.

It was an interactive session and participants enjoyed a lot throughout the session. A small souvenir was given to the audiences who participated in the deliberation. IQAC plans to hold similar workshops every year.
