It is with profound sorrow that North South University mourns the untimely passing of our distinguished alumnus, Rubaiyat Jamil, founder and CEO of Ice Technologies.
An accomplished entrepreneur and respected member of the business community, Rubaiyat Jamil was known for his visionary leadership and contributions across multiple industries, including technology, industrial solutions, and retail. His passion for innovation and commitment to excellence reflected the very spirit of North South University. Beyond his entrepreneurial success, he played a significant role in the country’s business community, having served as a former director of the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and contributing actively to several prestigious national and international business organizations.
Rubaiyat Jamil was also a passionate sportsman, representing Bangladesh in the under-16 and under-19 cricket teams during the 1990s.
A proud graduate of the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) program, he carried forward the values of leadership, integrity, and service throughout his professional journey.
His sudden passing is a profound loss to the nation, the business community, and the NSU family.
We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. His legacy will continue to inspire future generations of NSU graduates.
