This summer, students from North South University had the privilege of attending a transformative exchange program hosted by Niigata University School of Medicine<\/strong>, one of Japan\u2019s premier institutions known for its cutting-edge medical research and distinguished faculty. The program offered a rare blend of academic immersion and cultural exploration, leaving participants with lasting memories and valuable insights.<\/p>

Academic Excellence in Virology<\/p>

Under the mentorship of Dr. Takayuki Abe<\/strong>, head of the Department of Virology, students engaged in hands-on laboratory work and explored emerging research on the neurological impacts of COVID-19. They also had the opportunity to learn from Dr. Mashiko Takahashi<\/strong> and Dr. Taichi Kakihana<\/strong>, who generously shared their expertise and welcomed students into the forefront of virological innovation.<\/p>

A Global Community of Learners<\/p>

The program brought together 40 participants from seven countries<\/strong>\u2014China, Indonesia, Japan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, and Russia\u2014creating a vibrant international learning environment. This diversity fostered meaningful cross-cultural friendships and broadened students\u2019 perspectives on global healthcare practices.<\/p>

The G-medX team<\/strong> ensured a warm and enriching experience, guiding students through a series of cultural activities that showcased the beauty and traditions of Niigata and beyond:<\/p>
