A Center of Excellence
NSU, since 1992, has been a center of excellence in higher education. NSU is fully accredited by the University Grants Commission, the only national accreditation authority in Bangladesh. The School of Business and Economics at NSU is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) making NSU the first institute to receive American accreditation for its programs in the entire country. NSU is the only university in Bangladesh proud to claim that all core faculty members have degrees from reputed international institutes. Securing degrees mostly from North America and Europe, the faculty members have a rich knowledge and expertise in their particular fields. NSU also has a few international faculty members from North America, Europe, and South Asian countries to enrich the quality of teaching and learning. If you don’t believe it, check our programs and faculty member’s profiles on our website at www.northsouth.edu.

This number keeps increasing each year with new Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) signed with different international universities and organizations. NSU has MOU with universities like Texas A&M University, the George Washington University, University of Maryland, New York Institute of Technology, University of Plymouth, University of Bergen, Humboldt University of Berlin, University of South Australia, Macquarie University, RMIT University, and the University of Canberra. Currently, NSU has approximately 150 international students pursuing their undergraduate and graduate degrees. Affordable Tuition Fees
Education is expensive. This is even worse for international students. When international students go abroad for their further education, it costs almost ten times more than what the local students pay. This is a huge burden for international students. However, in NSU, we believe in equality and fairness. Therefore, the tuition fee for everyone is the same, regardless of their nationality. For information on tuition fees, go to http://www.northsouth.edu/tuition-fees.html and find out how much your desired program would cost. We can guarantee the total cost would still be way lower than most other renowned universities in the world. Furthermore, if you are talented and have an excellent academic record, you can apply for scholarships from the Financial Aid Office. It is possible to study at the university with a 100% scholarship if you are academically meritorious.

A New Adventure
When you leave your home and come to a foreign land, you are challenged to adjust to many issues. But at NSU, we believe in inclusivity and diversity. Therefore, we encourage international students to broaden their horizons by joining in with new circles of friends to learn about Bangladesh and its way of life. Thus, studying at NSU and living in Bangladesh becomes a new adventure for international students. Students can embrace the vibrant culture of Bangladesh while studying from experts who themselves have learned from the best schools in the world. NSU hosts many events full of color and zest for life. Among those, Pohela Baishakh (Bengali New Year) and Pohela Falgun (First day of Spring) are the most prominent ones where the student clubs of NSU organize a day-long carnival. Rallies, folk demonstrations, face painting, sweet shops, Nagordola rides (a small Ferris wheel), photo booths, a concert and so much more! And the cultural events are not only limited to Bengali culture. The Confucius Institute of NSU hosts several events on the culture and practices of China. One of those events is ‘The Chinese New Year’, which occurs at the end of winter and the beginning of spring, thus also known as the ‘Spring Festival’. Many traditional customs relating to the Spring Festival, such as shopping, creating paper cutting for window decoration, putting up New Year pictures, writing Spring Festival couplets, making New Year cakes, dumplings and so on are presented and taught to the participants. The student clubs of NSU host many events where the students can challenge themselves and to learn more about how to apply knowledge in a practical way. Some of the notable student club activities are Annual Cultural Evening (ACE) by North South University Shangskritik Shangathan (NSUSS), Socio-Camp (a unique event organized every year for poor children) and NSU annual picnic by North South University Social Services Club (NSUSSC), Pharma Fest by Pharmaceutical Club, NSU Model UN Conference by the Model UN Club, and more. By simply getting into NSU, students will automatically experience a life of profuse adventure.
